The AoFAS Academy….

The AoFAS Academy provides the knowledge for skills that people working in the pre-hospital care sector have told us they need.

It’s open to everyone and many of our courses accommodate all levels of learners; from beginners looking to develop their understanding or embarking upon a medical career to seasoned healthcare practitioners who want access to the latest knowledge base and articles..

What’s more, learning isn’t all about sitting in a classroom – our online distance learning modules, provide you with the capability to study, learn and test yourself at your own pace, in your own time, anywhere, on a wide range of devices.

Simply put, the AoFAS Academy courses are not dependent on your academic background, or level of education.

Whilst the AoFAS Academy does not provide formal accredited qualifications, it does confirm that the student is serious. and keen to study and learn so that they can hone their craft, gaining a vast wealth of knowledge. An attribute which demonstrates an invaluable transferable skill to any prospective employer and/or UCAS (The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service); this is a UK-based organisation whose main role is to operate the application process for British universities.

The AoFAS Academy and has three levels.

Level one is a membership to the academy knowledge base.

This is ideal for those who do not wish to join the association yet but would like to learn more about first aid and gain more knowledge.

Membership is just £1.50 per month for access to an ever-growing archive of articles and short explanations of medical aspects.

Level two of the academy is a combination of the knowledge base and a monthly self-marked quiz so that members can test their knowledge and indeed use the knowledge base to solve elements of the quiz.

This is just £2.50 per month.

Level three of the academy is for those who would like to contribute to the academy by providing their own written articles – this will be moderated and approved with full author credits being attributed to the writer. They can gain ‘academy contributor ‘status.

This is £3.50 per month and benefits include level one and two. Membership to the academy is not membership to AoFAS but a separate entity.
